Liat Yossifor was born in Israel in 1974. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1996 and her Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of California, Irvine in 2002. She completed her residencies at The Ucross Foundation, Claremont, WY in 2008 and at the Frankfurter Kunstverein, Frankfurt, Germany in 2010.
She has had numerous solo exhibitions nationally and internationally including Pomona College Museum of Art in Claremont, CA; Angles Gallery in Los Angeles, CA; Anita Becker Gallery in Frankfurt, Germany; Susanne Vielmetter Los Angeles Projects in Los Angeles, CA and Noga Gallery of Contemporary Art in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Group exhibitions include “A Reflected Gaze” at the Torrance Art Museum, Torrance, CA; “To Here Knows When” at The University of La Verne, La Verne, CA; “About Subject” at the Lyman Allyn Art Museum, New London, CT; “From America” at the Museum of Modern Fine Arts, Minsk, Belarus; “The Third Wight Biennial” at the New Wight Gallery, University of California, Los Angeles, CA and “A Deadly Serious Show” at Sister Gallery, Los Angeles, CA.
She is the recipient of the University of California, Irvine Departmental Fellowship.
